Acetic acid in its dilute form is commonly recognised as vinegar. It plays an important part in the manufacture of items such as fibres, fabric, washing powder, bottles and food packaging. BPPA is one of the largest single producer of acetic acid in Asia, producing approximately 500,000 tonnes annually.
BPPA intend to enhance its involvement with the wider community through fostering positive relations with the community to the mutual benefit of both parties.
BPPA so far had adopted 2 schools since year 2000 i.e. Sekolah Kebangsaan Meraga Beris, Kijal from year 2000 to 2013 and SMK Dato' Engku Bijaya Sura, Paka from year 2015 to 2019. BPPA is now in the process of evaluating and selecting new school to be adopted for the future years to go.
BPPA sponsored and partnership with Department of Fisheries and WWF Malaysia to develop Ma’ Daerah Turtle Sanctuary.
